The Fair Work Commission has made amendments to the Hospitality Industry General Award (HIGA) introducing new annualised salary clauses. This means that businesses operating in the hospitality industry will have several new compliance obligations to meet for any impacted staff. The changes are set to come into effect from 1st September 2022.
